No resort would be complete without tennis, and Wyndham Cap Tremblant Mountain Resort
In Quebec doesn’t disappoint. Featuring tennis courts, you can always grab a court for an afternoon of fun.
If you want to explore tennis options outside the resort, following are a few close by.
Tennis Mont Tremblant: Tremblant International Tennis Academy. This award-winning academy club welcomes you with or without a reservation. So, you can impulsively get in a great afternoon of tennis in Mont Tremblant with no previous planning.
Some features of this academy include 13 clay courts, six of which are lit, group clinics and private lessons, equipment rental, tennis packages, amiable round robins and much more. You won’t be disappointed with an afternoon of tennis here.
Tennis Mont Tremblant: Gray Rocks Tennis Club. Mont Tremblant’s largest tennis facility, Gray Rocks caters to every age group and skill level. With 22 courts, equipment rental, social tennis programs and club memberships, it has everything you need to enjoy the game.
Gray Rocks hosts tournaments, runs junior camps and offers unlimited court time to members. Tennis in Mont Tremblant doesn’t get any better than here.
Children do not have very long attention spans, hence, you want to keep any tennis lesson brief. If they are just starting out – and especially on vacation – tennis is supposed to be a fun activity, not necessarily a learning active. Most experts recommend that sessions last a half hour or less. At this point, just let them enjoy the game.
Keep moving: This makes it easier to quickly go after balls. Like a car with gas, it takes more to get going from a stand still point than it does once the car is moving.
Don’t Try Too Hard: Like anything, it takes your body time to recognize the signals of when to move, where, which stroke to use, etc.
The rule of the game, literally, is comfort. If you’re a recreational player and don’t have professional tennis attire, regular gym attire will do. Just make sure that clothing is loose.
Be aware though that many tennis in Mont Tremblant facilities have attire rules, like your outfit must be 80% white, you can’t go shirtless, no jeans, proper footwear, no bathing suits, etc. Check with the facility before you head out to play.
Proper Footwear is Essential: Tennis, like any active sport, requires a lot of back and forth, putting stress on the foot. Proper shoes are essential to avoid injury. Usually, a cross training shoe will be sufficient if you’re playing a few light games.
If you go much beyond this, you probably already have the proper shoes. If not, it’s a good idea to pick up a pair of proper footwear so you can really get into the game without worrying about a foot injury.
